Josh & Katie
Katie grew up farming the land with her family here at Nettlecreek. When she married Josh in 2016, he began developing his passion for refurbishing antique equipment and utilizing heritage farming techniques here on the farm. They’ve since welcomed the births of four children and are raising them to have an appreciation and love for the land. Katie loves expanding her knowledge of heritage skills like canning and food preservation, soap & salve making, and experimenting with herbal remedies.

John & Madison
John has been farming Nettlecreek alongside their family his entire life. John and Madison married in 2024 and have welcomed a beautiful little girl since then. John is a USDA organic inspector and has used his knowledge to increase our natural methods of farming. Madison loves raising goats and chickens and hopes to expand those horizons here at the farm.

I’m Katie…
If this is your first time getting to know us, welcome! I started this website to share our family’s farming and homesteading experiences and am so glad that you’ve found us! Most of our social media and website content is from me, so I thought I would take a moment and introduce myself. Although I’m usually the one posting and curating content, my husband Josh, and my brother John and his wife Madison have been known to do the lion’s share of the actual work around here. 🙂
