We invite you to visit Nettlecreek Farm this fall for our annual COUNTRY LIVING FIELD DAY.

Admission is FREE and we welcome Homeschool Activity Groups!

There will be hands-on activities and workshops for all ages.

Harvest & cook sweet sorghum syrup

We use an antique horse drawn cane press to squeeze the sorghum cane then simmer the juice over a wood-fired evaporator to make delicious Sweet Sorghum Syrup.

copper kettle apple butter

Sample some slow simmered apple butter made the old-fashioned way. Purchase some to take home to enjoy as well. The kettle will be going all day!

artisan vendors

Discover unique and one-of-a-kind handmade items from the craftsmen and artisans in our vendor pavilions. Featured items will include beeswax candles, jams & jellies, handmade soaps & salves, local honey, baked goods & more!

children’s activities

Kids will have the opportunity to learn heritage skills with hands-on activities and experiences. They will get to help press apples into cider, learn to dip beeswax candles, pet the farm animals & more!

At Nettlecreek Farm we raise our Sweet Sorghum Cane without any chemicals, harmful herbicides or pesticides. Our family loves introducing others to this delicious, natural sweetener that can be used in your favorite recipes in place of processed sugars. Visit our COUNTRY LIVING FIELD DAY to see us press and cook this nutritious syrup!
