Josh & Katie

We’re Josh and Katie Parry and we love sharing our homesteading experiences from our 40 acre farm in Northeastern Ohio.

Katie has been farming this land alongside her brother, John, for 30+ years and has a passion for sustainable farming practices and preserving heritage traditions passed down from their family. She handles much of our online content and product creation and packaging. Handmaking soaps and natural skincare is a favorite pastime of hers and she loves being able to share her creations with others.

Josh is our equipment and repairs expert and loves combing through antique sales and rusty equipment pages to find unique and one-of-a-kind pieces to use on the farm. He’s a self-taught milling machinist who will often create new pieces and parts for our equipment to keep things running. Josh maintains most of our crops and produce throughout the growing season and has been perfecting methods of old-fashioned cultivation and rotational plantings to reduce the need for pest and weed control.

John & Madison

John & Madison Rea love sharing their homesteading experiences from our 40 acre farm in Northeastern Ohio.

John has been farming this acreage along with his sister Katie for 30+ years. He has been growing his knowledge of regenerative agriculture in his occupation as an Organic Inspector for the USDA Organic certification program. His expertise has helped us practice farming methods to reduce the use of chemicals and increase resiliency in our land.

He has been training himself to master basic blacksmithing techniques over the past 15 years and enjoys helping others who want to start learning how to make simple and functional metalwork pieces.

Madison is our resident animal enthusiast. She has a passion for caring for and training animals and would love to expand our farm to include milking goats and perhaps dairy cows one day. During her time working for COBA Sires and a local dairy farm, she has acquired valuable knowledge about the care and production of cattle in particular. While we don’t have any resident bovines currently, we would like to include them in our homesteading journey in the future.

John and Madison welcomed a beautiful little girl in December 2025 and she is the latest addition to our farming family.

Together with our families, we are working to preserve and nurture the land and traditions for future generations.
